Retirees, Rehoming and Stud Dogs

Retired females are spayed and placed in loving homes between the ages of 3 and 5 year old. These girls are well trained and socialized. Older puppies that are not turning out as show dogs are occasionally available. Sometimes an owner’s circumstances change and a dog is returned for rehoming. Email me to request an application. Intact Stud Dogs are the future of the breed and I often choose to wait years to use them at stud in order to ensure their health remains good into middle age. These males are typically Champions or well on their way to their championships, they are trained and socialized. They need to be kept intact until directed by me to have them neutered. They need to be made available on occasional weekends for shows and/or breeding. Stud owners must live within the PNW - between northern Oregon and the Canadian border. The dog is placed at a very significant discount to compensate the owner for the effort of keeping an intact male and the occasional drive to meet up to hand off the dog for the weekend. Sometimes dogs do not work out with their original owners and are returned for rehoming. Amos and Fritz found success in their second homes when they proved to be too much for their original owners to handle. Not every home is able to handle a German Pinscher and occasionally dogs need to find a home more suited to their needs and activity level.

Retirees, Rehoming and Stud Dog

Retired females are spayed and placed in loving homes between the ages of 3 and 5 year old. These girls are well trained and socialized. Reba will be our next retiree, probably in 2024-2025. Any applicant for Reba will need to be a competitor in performance events as she is training in obedience and nose work and is quite good at it so I want to see her continue with these competition as well as Rally, FastCAT, Barn Hunt, NACSW nosework and AKC scent work. Older puppies that are not turning out as show dogs are sometimes available. Occasionally an owner’s circumstances change and a dog is returned for rehoming. Email me to request an application. Intact Stud Dogs are the future, but often I choose to wait years to use them at stud in order to ensure their health remains good into middle age. These young males are between 1 and 2 years of age when rehomed. They are trained and socialized and need to be made available on occasional weekends for shows or breeding.
